Founded by Oumaima Bahou, Berber Creations is a dedicated artisanal house specializing in custom, authentic Moroccan rugs. We are not sourcers or middle-men; we are direct producers.

Every single piece we offer is a unique masterwork, hand-knotted by our talented women artisans in our private workshop located in Mrirt Village (Khenifra Province), nestled in the heart of the Middle Atlas Mountains. By blending ancient tribal heritage with modern aesthetics like Quiet Luxury and Japandi design, we bring timeless soul into contemporary homes worldwide.

Direct Production: From Workshop Looms to Your Home

At Berber Creations, we passionately oversee every single step of the traditional hand-knotted production cycle in our private atelier:

• Premium Raw Materials: We personally select and purchase high-quality, organic local wool in bulk, ensuring the rich texture and durability that defines a true heirloom rug.

• True Hand-Knotted Craftsmanship: Moving away from mass-produced or hand-tufted alternatives, our rugs are meticulously hand-knotted on traditional vertical looms by master artisans who have inherited this sacred craft over generations.

• Natural Washing & Abrash Character: We use traditional washing techniques that allow the wool to reveal its unique, natural color variations—the beautiful “Abrash” effect that is the hallmark of authentic, hand-spun wool.

• Rigorous Quality Control: Every bespoke design and custom order undergoes a final, meticulous personal inspection by Oumaima Bahou before being securely dispatched from Morocco to our international clientele.
